Story:
The people of Chambal region are facing many difficulties without drinking water or irrigation water. On the other hand, Bhalawant Singh Tagore (Bobby Deol) and his men continue to make it difficult for the people there. In the background of some dramatic developments in this order, the people of that Chambal region meet Sitaram, knowing that engineer Sitaram (Nandamuri Balakrishna) is the only one who can solve their problems. And what did Sitaram do to bring water to that area after hearing their hardships?, What were the conditions Sitaram faced in this process?, So.. What is the track of Daku Maharaj?, How did Sitaram become Daku Maharaj?, Finally what did Daku Maharaj achieve? That is the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
As always, Balayya is brilliant in his role as Sitaram and Daku Maharaj. Balayya’s performance in key scenes is the main highlight of the entire movie. Just what his fans want from Balakrishna, this movie has gone with huge visuals and ‘wild action and emotional elements’. Balayya mesmerized the audience with his powerful performance by showing different variations in his role.
Bobby Deol, who made his direct debut on the Telugu screen with ‘Daku Maharaj’, is confident in his role. His performance in some key scenes is very good. Shraddha Srinath lived her role. The depth of her character is also impressive. Heroine Pragya Jaiswal also acted very well. Her screen presence is also very good. Chandni Chowdhury and Urvashi Rautela impressed in other key roles. Likewise Shine Tom Chacko along with the rest of the cast
The way director Bobby showed Balayya in a new way by running the play according to the commercial movie is good. Especially in the movie, putting action elements and strong emotions, as well as a touch of comedy in balance is a plus for the movie. Especially the action sequences on Balayya have been designed effectively. Similarly, along with the filming of the characters, the background of the characters has also been designed perfectly.
Minus Points:
Although this ‘high action emotional entertainer ‘Daku Maharaj’ with heavy emotions and huge visuals is very impressive. Also, the hype of the movie could not be continued throughout the movie. And the track between Balayya and the villains would have been better. Director Bobby, who has shown good performance in the key scenes along with the main theme that he wanted to convey in the story, was seen slowly in the remaining few scenes.
Technical Department:
Talking about the technical department of this movie.. Cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan’s cinematography work is amazing. Along with the key scenes of the movie, the rest of the action scenes have also been beautifully shot in accordance with the stories. Editing by Niranjan Devaramane is also very good. The music director is S.S. Songs composed by Thaman are very good. Their picturization is also good. The background music is also impressive. Bobby has done full justice to this film as a writer and director. The film is interestingly crafted with a good story and strong diverse characters. But, in some places, it would have been better if his story had been made more interesting. Producers Suryadevara Nagavanshi and Sai Soujanya have made this film without any compromise. Their production values are amazing.
Verdict:
In this ‘Daku Maharaj’ which comes as a mass action and emotional drama, the feel good emotions are also very good along with the wild action sequences. Especially Balayya’s powerful performance, Bobby’s direction and the good work from the entire technical department… the whole movie was a special attraction. But
